GooRoo Expands Into Fitness and WordPress Websites

We are proud to introduce two new sites to the GooRoo Network:

First Round Fitness

The idea for First Round Fitness came from our own frustrations with trying to find quality fitness instruction on the web. Useful information is littered here and there, but we felt could do much better.

We want this site to be a fitness resource for people of all experience levels. Check out the constantly growing library of how-to videos, our discussion board, the blog, and “No Quick Fix”!

WPCandy

WordPress is a content management system that runs not only the entire GooRoo Network, but millions of websites across the internet. WPCandy is a website dedicated to all thigns WordPress, and GooRoo has acquired it as part of its network.

With WPCandy, GooRoo will not only stay on top of all the latest and greatest in the WordPress world, we will contribute back to the WordPress community with products and services that we specialize in.

Update: Video Disappearance Problem Fixed

We received word earlier this evening that our videos weren’t showing up in Internet Explorer browsers. Other browsers seemed unaffected. Short story: the problem has been fixed, and we’re good to go now.

GooRoo Network videos are served up using a video embedding service. In other words, we use a service that takes the weight of hosting all of our videos (and we have plenty of them) off of our hands. The video embedding service we use is awesome, because it allows us to serve up video on the web and on smart mobile devices, all from the same service.

Earlier today there was an update to this service which unfortunately caused a disappearance of GooRoo videos from Internet Explorer browsers. Once the problem was discovered, it was patched and taken care of. Total downtime for all videos was about four hours. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We’ll of course keep you updated of any news here on the GooRoo blog. Thanks for your support of GooRoo!
